''According to the Indian tradition, the four primary objectives of human life are
(1) DHARMA or performance of such rites as are conducive to the well-being of the individual as well as his society, (2) ARTHA or the collection of the means of livelihood, (3) KAMA or the satisfaction of mundane desires (4) MOKSHA or the attainment of salvation. Good Health is considered to be the sine qua non of the achievement of all these four fold objectives.''
